Professor Bill Faulkner was Deputy CEO and Director of Research of Australia’s CRC for Sustainable Tourism. He was also Director of the Centre for Tourism & Hotel Management Research, Griffith University, Australia. Prior to taking up this position, Bill was the founding Director of Australia’s Bureau of Tourism Research (BTR). He held senior tourism policy positions in the Australian Federal administration and he entered the tourism field after an earlier career in urban/transport planning research.
